In most discussions, there are comparisons and hypotheticals to test someone’s
Assertions to see if it is consistent. This is common in debates. If you think my comparison is a straw man, then you would tweak the hypothetical to better mirror your position. Which you did do and I granted. I said if bama lost 2 in a row, they would be out. You effectively and correctly modified it to if bama lost to an unranked team at home. I then changed the hypothetical to include a loss at home to a non top 25 team. You still said bama would be out. “Absolutely”
You can change your mind, if now you think bama would be in or should not be out. So yes I know fallacies better than you. But as stated from the beginning just because we controlled our own destiny, does not mean we should excluded from being an at large.
