The team that played yesterday would have represented themselves well
But at 10-2 I have a really hard time moving them into the final bracket with the information we had at the time.
At this time you could say that the ACC was overrated but taking 11-2 SMU over 10-2 BYU was consistent with the committee saying they weren't going to punish teams for losing their conference title games.
And the committee would still have picked Alabama over BYU anyway.
