I don’t care what conference you’re in…
Losing 2 of your last three regular season games doesn’t make a good case for getting into the CFP.
Trust me. I have the same frustration, but we were treated as fairly as I’d expect any other team to be treated.
With the expanded playoff, every CFP level team but 1 (the champion) will have a loss near the end of the year to another CFP level team. Ours was to Arizona State.
If we’d had the same losses earlier in the year then we’d have a solid case to be in. I’ll forever wonder what this team could have done in the CFP. We were definitely good enough for it. Our bowl game showed it.
I’m proud of this team. It’s been an amazing year packed with exciting wins. But we had our legitimate path to the championship and it didn’t happen. I’m not going to start whining like Harlan that it was stolen from us.
