Perhaps you don’t understand what an at large bid is.
Those are the teams that didn’t win their conference. All of them are in because the committee let them in despite them not winning their way in. They all controlled their own destiny and failed.
The thread isn’t saying we should take Clemson or TX spot. It’s simply saying should we have been one of the 7 at larges. The group of teams that will get in despite not taking advantage of winning their way in.
