Using Alabama a team in a similar situation as ours as an example of why we should be in, when they didn’t get in is such a poor argument.
I absolutely think that the committee made the right decision with Alabama. That comes back to SMU losing their CCG (an extra game). If you put Alabama in over SMU that would have incentivized teams to not participate in their CCG, which would be bad for college football.
I have been consistent though this whole discussion. I feel that your arguments have not been. Maybe take a step back, remove your post Colorado glasses and accept that BYU controlled our destiny and didn’t have the drive down the stretch to take advantage.
You can’t rest on the merits of the first half of your season because that is when you don’t show up in the first half of your last 4 conference games, miss the CCG and then an at large bid for the CFP.
