You are brave to ask career / life advice from a bunch of strangers
I worked in I-banking in NYC 2009-2012. Was toxic. I never wanted to be like the managing directors I worked for. Their personal lives were in shambles. The work was awesome. The hours were terrible.

My advice:
1. Remember sacred promises. Do your best with Temple, church, scriptures, prayer, etc. You need heavenly help.
2. Care for yourself. Exercise, spiritual development, mental health (see a therapist), ocasional recreation (even a quick play, ball game, movie, walk in Central Park, etc.)
3. If you have a significant other, be sure you are in the same page with life, career, family. Be creative with spending time together.
4. Recognize this isn’t forever. Nothing in life is forever. Set career goals that are measurable: work for x years, complete x number of deals before I evaluate the next step, etc.
5. Recognize you are extremely blessed. How many people have the opportunities you do?! Try to have a glass half full perspective. Can be hard to do when you are getting sworn at all the time.
6. Try to make friends with colleagues and clients. Everybody isn’t a dirt bag. Many are also there until a better opportunity comes around. I have really enjoy connecting / reconnecting with many work acquaintances I made 10+ yrs ago while working the grind in NYC.

Good luck! You got this. Give us an update in 6-12 months 😁
