out for my family.
For years I wondered if I had blown my big chance by leaving, and sometimes I wasn’t sure I made the right choice. Now my kids are starting to head to college and I will be down to one next year.
I now realize that getting out was the best thing I ever did. That time I got to be with my kids was priceless and no matter what I do, I can never get it back.
That brief period with kids in your home is priceless. I was just thinking today that probably 95 percent of the time I spend with my kids in my lifetime will be while they live with us in our house. After that, it’s almost over—some holidays, a few vacations, and not a whole lot more.
It passes by in a blink. Slaving away in an office building as it comes and goes ain’t worth it.
