Cravens was the center piece of the run defense that allowed over 500 yards rushing in one game. I obviously don't solely blame him, but if you have even one good DT that does not happen.
Bagnah provided one sack from the defensive end position. Honestly with his other shortcomings (undersized against the run) I thought he played too much.
Maile was a huge part of the worst offensive line BYU has had in nearly a decade. The fact that Funk kept switching him and Pay is mind blowing and a huge mistake. Pay is a much better player.
Our best CB, and maybe our best player last year was Robinson. But both Garrett and Heckard played well. I think they are both a notch below Jeudy-Lally, but I am happy they came to BYU just like the rest of the transfers.
Lapuaho was better than Maile, but that isn't saying much. Then again the whole OL had to try and compensate for the worst D-1 lineman in Caleb Etienne.
Taggert looked lost for the most part making giant mistake after giant mistake. I do love his athleticism and think he will be a good player but he clearly lacks experience at this level. Reminds me a bit of Bywater's first year playing.
We were not a good football team last year. I'm not sure how to sugar coat it. Like we were significantly worse in Sagarin last year than the worst Bronco team in 11 years was.
