Austin is nice. Hilly, green, the river, UT, the capital, good food, etc.
My wife is from Dallas and every time we go there to visit I just can't imagine living there.
We lived in Austin for a bit and I absolutely loved it. Wish we could go back tbh. Doubt we could afford it now though unless I found a higher paying job.
