Honestly, that demographic cycle is most pronounced in wards in Utah, but happens everywhere
My parents ward in Amarillo was getting very old. And then new housing sprung up and now it's full of young married couples....but the primary is still empty. Either retired couples or newlyweds
My ward in Colorado had tons of kids...but almost no youth. Now I go back and there's lots of older youth and nearly no kids
