I posted above that it’s highly plausible that Kalani utilized Ed Lamb’s style
of recruiting raw athlete types and trying to develop them while at BYU.

They seemed to also go a different direction after Ed Lamb left. Typically if anyone tries to assign any blame to anyone besides Kalani or Tuiaki, they’re met with fierce pushback that it simply can’t be anyone’s fault besides the HC or DC. Despite titles, it sure seems like Lamb had a big impact on the program.
