Everyone complained that Bronco was a bad recruiter. And everyone talked up KS's ability to recruit. So, I expected him to out recruit Bronco. He didn't. Bronco showed that independence could recruit around the mid 60s. KS generally recruiting in the 70s and 80s.
Now that we are in a P4 conference, we are still recruiting in the bottom half. It is possible for BYU to recruit (e.g. look at the basketball team). I don't expect KS to do what KY is doing, but I believe BYU has a bigger following than a significant number of P4's. BYU should be able to do better than they currently are doing. I like the direction of recruiting since Hill got here, but we aren't there yet, even with him.

Even if you include the years BYU was G5 and include the years KS has been in a P4, Bronco's average is better (#62.45 vs #66). That is ludicrous. If Bronco was a mediocre recruiter, then KS has been bad. (had to use rivals instead of 247 for the G5 years, because 247's numbers weren't coming up so there may be slight variation there, but you get the idea).
