Employer, here is your task for the week.
Employee, in his mind, this will take me just 20 hours todo.

Do you really think at that point the employee is going to say, hey, give me something else to do?

I don't know how many jobs are like that, but a lot of IT is. You are either really busy, or not so much.


But if its a consistent under 40 hr a week task assigned to you, then whether the employee says something or not, is not as much the problem as the employer not knowing how to have work or to assign work correctly.
