Just don’t be surprised when employers balk at WFH.
And don’t complain if your own career stalls because you are out of sight, out of mind. I hope that doesn’t happen, but it’s an issue.
In general, I think people are often too myopic about WFH. Sure, it’s great today. But what will it mean for your career when you’re 50, don’t have diapers to change or kids to raise, and want more out of your career? There is no single answer to that question as everyone has different goals and approaches, but I think the medium- and long-term implications of WFH are often overlooked.
