I agree with a lot of your post but for the sake of discussion — Dad’s being overly saturated in children’s lives is
actually a relatively new phenomenon. I won’t argue that dads shouldn’t be in their kids lives but the idea of the family TV series archetype father is a newish concept.

Up until a couple of generations ago, fathers were largely sperm donors and if you were lucky, he stayed in the family and provided food and shelter — that was about the extent of it for the majority of humans.

But I do agree that it’s cool to see dads much more involved nowadays although the luxury of dad always around is also contributing to our children becoming more soft which is another discussion.
