Working from home has been one of my biggest blessings of my life
I work from home and love to help raise my children. For me to go back into office I would literally need double the money. Currently I could probably get jobs making 40-60% more if I was willing to change jobs and potentially go back to office. I just can't convince myself to do that.

Currently I take my kid to half day school, change diapers, play, and see all of them multiple times throughout the day. I have been present for their entire lives to far. I Don't have a commute. Working from home is honestly is one of my most valuable things I have. My wife is getting her Masters degree and the only reason it is possible because I don't have to waste 9-10 hours a day going to and from work.

There are people who would say "You aren't doing as much as someone in office." It is just BS. You know what I used to do in this same job 5 years ago? Listened to media (books, podcasts, youtube videos), workout during work, play ping pong, go to an hour lunch ever day, and hangout and talk with coworkers. I have got the same work done either way. Most studies that are done are biased and performed for a specific outcome in mind.

I seriously believe the push back into the office comes from few places: corporate real estate and other companies with obvious incentive to keep workers in a space other than homes, and older people who are jealous and have cognitive dissonance about leaving for work for the past 30 years. If they did it, it must be moral and the right thing to do.

My last point, fathers are meant to be with children. The children with the best outcomes have an involved and supportive dad. Children used to grow up helping their dads in their line of work. Now people think dads are supposed to disappear all day and then you eat dinner with him and say goodnight. Allowing media and the government to have a better connection with your children than you do. I will try to work from home as long as I am able.
