I saw less of my kids on the days I worked from home when I had a hybrid schedule. People were constantly bugging me with calls and communication to ask about things since they couldn't just pass by. That mean't more things I needed to do not getting done and then I was working later. Generally I hated it. Felt like home was no longer the safe haven away from work and my kids couldn't come in and visit with me anyway.

Back to full time in the office and I find it much more balanced and that I see my kids more. Also, there is not a chance that someone remote could do my job as effectively as I do. None. But that is probably and industry thing. Sounds like your job is pretty cushy either way so why not do it from home. Makes sense.

I have the freedom to be at any family things I need to be and it is encouraged so I have not felt like I am missing out at all.
