TRUTH! I have coached my 5 kids in soccer, both rec and club, for about 25 years. When it's over it is super hard to not be Uncle Rico about things and recall memories and long for the good 'ol days. My youngest daughter is a sophomore and plays club in Utah and I LOVE the time I get with her. We talk to and from every training and game. We support each other without getting in each others business (how she played, how I coached).

My wife and I have spent thousands of dollars on soccer over the years and our kids have learned lessons and had great experiences that I am confident they could not have found playing rec alone.
