We pay out the nose for club fees, travel with the club a fair amount and deal with politics, emotions and everything that comes with it. But she loves her teammates, loves the game and wants to continue to excel at the sport. I hear parents complain and I ask myself, “then why do it? Play non-premier, Rec, with another club that is less demanding or another sport altogether”.
I think you gotta ask your self what you and your child are looking for in the experience and find something that fits. There are lots of opportunities competing for your time and money so select one that fits those objectives.
My other kids have quit sports along the way because they no longer want to commit so much time. That’s fine. Just gotta funnel that energy to other areas (easier said than done).
