With a big payday now possible in college the pressure will be even greater to have kids excel earlier and earlier. Millions of $$ are at stake now

Of course every study shows kids should have less structured play time. Also they shouldn’t be the center of attention and end all be all purpose for the family.

At a minimum they should do multiple sports for full development. It’s good to try new things and they need to learn it’s ok not being the best at everything . And even have an off season to avoid over use injuries!

So many reasons not to do club/travel/competitive sports….

If you must do it, don’t let it control you or your family
