That’s an interesting interpretation and I see your point given that but that’s
not what salary actually means. Salary is merely a fixed regular payment, it has nothing to do with time.
If the job description said something to the effect that they expect a minimum of 40 hours a week or schedule expectation then it would be more aligned to what your saying but that is definitely not all salary work.
Take for instance an NFL player who is on salary. Can they change a kid’s diaper in between workouts?
