Welcome! Sounds like most people have a negative experience. My daughter is in
her third year and is having a great experience. We lucked out with her initial team, they have all become best friends. One actually just told the team she is moving this summer and my daughter is devastated. I also haven't minded the time commitment. I typically take her to trainings and work from my truck while she practices. Weekends are very full but the quality of play is high so it's pretty fun to watch. I get to about half her games (my wife the other half) so we can split sports duties among our kids evenly (I also catch both my boys in football so falls are a little rough). But again, very positive overall for us. The club she plays for focuses on game understanding and overall team development first, rather than individual skill (which is seems most clubs default to this) which I think has made it feel less like a competition with all the other girls and more about learning and loving the game.

Good luck!
