I’m seeing a lot of “byu controlled their own destiny” and “don’t blame the cfp system”, but that feels dumb to me.

Saying “it’s BYU’s own fault because we didn’t control our own destiny” is stupid, because you don’t need to be ranked #1 to be in the top 12. Fact.

We weren’t undefeated, and we were not the #1 team in cfb, but we know for a fact that we are better than SMU (scoreboard) and absolutely should have had an at large bid over several of the teams that got them (SMU, Indiana, Tennessee)

We did control our destiny, we were one of the best 12 teams in the nation, and we kinda got cheated so that there could be 7 B1G/SEC teams
