I'm also aware of friends from SUU and USU that went to top five law, business, and med schools. I'm also aware that one of the most talented and highly paid electrical engineers at my workplace graduated from ITT Tech and is the boss of a bunch of BYU and Utah EE's. The best programmer we have didn't even go to college and he is far better than the BYU, Utah, Cal, and Standford developers we also employ.

A BYU degree is great and stats state that it will get you more money. However, the cream will still rise to the top regardless of of where the paper came.

Also the fact that the kid had a football schollie will help is resume when it comes time to apply for jobs. Maybe enough that he will own your kid.
