Yeah, I was trying to think of some snarky response...
...to the "maybe my kid will hire your kid" comment. But ultimately I decided that I shouldn't be disparaging to his kid. He doesn't have any say over who is parents are or their biases.
Like you - I know people who have gone to plenty of other schools and done quite well for themselves. Enough of them that I don't buy into the "BYU will make you more money" silliness. Being smart and working hard will make you more money.
