My daugther is this way - great grades and ACT. The in state schools came to Lone Peak to pitch the kids and BYU basically mailed it in. So my kid that I've been raising a BYU fan her whole life and taken to games her whole life is strongly leaning SUU because they've really gone out of their way to say how much they want her there. 

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to control my kid as much as I'd like so unless revelation steps in as she prays about options my kid may be headed to SUU. Which sounds like it might be a great experience.

I know a bunch of people on this board are against expanding the school capacity for fear of diluting the quality of students, but I wish they would expand to near 60,000, use the Provo High land, and actively try to get quality kids there rather than the current level of indifference that seems to be experienced by most. They were probably a bit that way back in the 90's when I attended as well, but for me it was BYU or bust. Somehow I've failed as a dad to instill that in my kids despite all the games through the years and conversations about how great it is.
