It’s multifaceted. Some of it’s them. Some of it’s us
This thread is actually a pretty good representation, both the stated reasons and unspoken reasons that are on display. Some of the ire their fans have earned and some of it’s us being petty.
I grew up as one of the few who preferred the Broncos over the Vandals, living in southern Idaho. Ironically, I basically quit rooting for them or following them after moving back to the area after a 10 year absence. We played them every year, and I am BYU first by a mile.
I’ll be pulling for them today.

Your definition of generation is pretty short. Also, 30 years ago, BSU was in the Big Sky with ISU and Weber.
