And your post is a great microcosm of why some people don't like BYU and your superior attitude is off putting. Historically, they wouldn't dare put themselves on the same level as BYU? You're killing me.
You realize that BYU was 173 and 235 in the years preceding LaVell, right? That's really mediocre. But you're trying to big time BSU? Good one.
So in your world you get to feel good about yourself now that we lucked into LaVell, but no one else who was "beneath us" should dare think they're better (even if objectively they usually are).
A little humility would probably be helpful here.
