Believe it or not: The University of Minnesota is the only school to win three consecutive national championships in Division 1A college football history (1934-35-36). In all, they won 5 national titles in 8 years under Bernie Bierman. Michigan coach Harry Kipke, said, “It is the greatest team I ever saw as a player or coach. Those reserves would beat almost every team in the country.”
