Going the Title IX route would escalate the situation, most likely, to the
district level. They would come in and do a series of interviews with every person involved, including parents and coaches. It would take weeks. Then a report is filed and sent to both the victim and the assailant(s) parents. All names will be printed on the report. In this situation, if everything we read is true, then there is a good chance charges might be filed, coaches could lose their job and athletes would be dismissed from the team. At this point, I'm sure the news would catch wind of it (probably from the assailants parents) and it would be all over the place on social media.

Sometimes doing the right thing takes some guts. So, I totally understand why a family wouldn't want to risk the potential future problems at school.
