Kalani’s HC philosophy is similar to LaVell’s. Be a players coach. But that

philosophy requires excellent coordinators. LaVell had that. Kalani has not had that in large part. Roderick has shown flashes, and Jay Hill is promising. If the offense bounces back and if the defense turns into what we think it can under Jay Hill, people will change their tune on Kalani. Players and coaches like Kalani. He just needs the right ones on the bus. There’s definitely hope that is happening.
