Families of top players haven't trusted KS with their sons' careers

And why would they, since he rolled out that ridiculous defense year after year — all with a background as a P5 DC in two stops. Failure to ever connect such an abysmal, passive defensive identity and recruiting success speaks to a low management IQ.

The only reason BYU has started to attract B12-type defenders is that Jay Hill arrived with improved football intellect and the work ethic needed to bolster recruiting.
