The staff had a game plan on defense. It was perfect for three drives, then it wasn't. One of my past criticisms of Tuiaki is that he didn't make in-game adjustments. He absolutely did in the second half.
I also don't think that Tuiaki haters see the big picture of "just win." It would be really great if we had the depth, health, and personnel to get sacks and picks on every play. We don't. So the staff decides to cover up deficiencies with other strengths. I HATE the prevent defense, but I support it if it leads to winning. I trust that this coaching staff will do what it takes to win games. These coaches didn't always have that trust from me, but winning 18 out of 20 and beating more P5s than any other BYU team in history has earned my respect and trust.
