arm chair DCs that really don’t know anything about football. To put it another way, I think Tuiaki knows a lot more about his scheme, his players, and his game plan than 99% of CB.

Now let me be a complete hypocrite and put my armchair DC hat on for a moment: would I call the game the way Tuiaki does? Probably not. I would be more aggressive with blitzing because a QB under pressure is generally a QB that doesn’t perform well. Of course, if you apply pressure you will get burned sometimes, that’s the trade off you must be willing to accept.

That being said, Coach Tuiaki limits points and puts BYU in a position to win games. It may not be what I would do, it may not match what other schools do. But he’s a quality Coach and he runs his defensive system well.
