Reasons Tuiaki should go:
1) were 18-3 in our last 21 games. So show some respect! Well, imagine our record if we didn’t have the 80th or worse defense in the country

2) we have recruiting classes ranked in the 70s so what would you expect from our defensive ranking? Well, we all saw how much more Bronco got out of our defensive personnel with recruiting classes with similar rankings. He did this by being creative with schemes. Knowing when to bring pressure and disguise it so the offense didn’t often know where it was coming from. And he did it with Corners who aren’t nearly as good, as a whole, as the group we have this year.

3) Dropping 7-8 from very base alignments on an overwhelming portion of snaps allowing the QB all Day to throw has nothing to do with poor tackling - most most often used excuse for Tuiaki apologists

4) dropping 8 nearly every play and refusing to bring creative pressure, a la Bronco, shows that he likely doesn’t know how. What’s even worse, is that our current crop of Corners are so much better than what Bronco typically had that it would actually allow us to do this more and with more success

5) Tuiaki isn’t creative, is overly conservative, is slow to make adjustments, turns average QBs into good ones by allowing them all day to throw - which is too much pressure on any defensive backfield of any caliber, is quick to blame players who “don’t tackle well”, and is WAY too predictable to game plan against, etc. It also puts more pressure on our offense by alway having long fields to score by allowing such long drives, even if they prevent a score.

6) we have seen how much more other coaches have been able to get out of similar players in our program. He does well enough at times, but we are simply leaving too much on the table. If Bronco or Whittingham were our D coordinator it is guaranteed we would be a much higher ranked, pressure based defense that puts way less pressure on our offense. Just as it was under Brock for years

As we enter P5 competition we can’t leave that much out. Were decent but need to get much better.
