I agree with you. It is very difficult.
Which is why there are entire fields of study in statistical analysis, epidemiology, immunology, etc. Personally, i would rather put my trust in those who are experts in these fields rather than a sensationalist media pundit or my brother in law plumber on social media with obvious political bias. But to each their own I guess.
