I completely agree with you that shouldn’t get medical advice from a politician.
But to accuse those across the aisle of taking advantage of a pandemic for political gain while at the same time turning a blind eye to what the politicians on your side have done is hypocrisy.

From stating the virus will just disappear, encouraging people to not wear masks, politicizing a response to a global pandemic, encouraging governors to ignore public health officials and reopen everything with little to no regard for social distancing, touting medications that have proven in studies to provide no benefit, refusing to provide any sort of national plan on PPE, testing, etc, silencing the CDC.....I could go on. Oh he also is claiming today that the FDA is part of the “deep state” for doing proper trials of vaccines before approving them.

The president and those on his side of the aisle who refuse to acknowledge the detriment this has caused and the deaths that continue to mount as a result are more complicit than these “evil democrats” out to get your president. When you are the party in power you also have to take responsibility for the way things are going and the decisions that have been made to this point. The results speak for themselves.

I think requiring masks and having businesses implement social distancing to prevent the spread of a highly transmissible virus during a global pandemic are certainly reasonable as this evidence overwhelmingly support these measures. I haven’t really seen any politicians lately calling for a return to total lockdowns like we had in March but I certainly might have missed it. I think most are just asking to start listening to public health officials instead of pressuring them for political reasons and then when they disagree with your ideas, vilify and silence them while ignoring their advice, which just sews more distrust of experts for the gullible masses.
