I have to agree with this.
Regardless of how tough the BYU job may look, very few people would be able to turn down that kind of pay raise. The only scenario in which I can see that happening is if Hill is supremely confident in his coaching ability, and he truly believes he can land a job better than BYU. It's a big gamble, but I can understand the rationale. Take the guaranteed money at BYU, last 3-5 years, and then get fired or don't have your contract renewed and bounce back down to the coordinator or FCS level, or hope and pray you can get a P5/top end G5 job that is more sustainable.
