I think that at the end the game may have passed him up. That happens to coaches
who are around for 20+ years. You'll always have fans who get mad, but the NC probably spoiled people too and they expected more like it. These days a lot of us who want bronco gone would be happy to trade a 8-9 win seasons for one shot at the playoff.

Comparing Bronco to Lavell drives me nuts. Lavell built the program, won a NC and had some fantastic seasons.

Again, Lavell had taken the program from nothing to a NC team. He earned the patience. Bronco has not.
