I think USU is about at their ceiling. Their recruiting pool is quite small....
How many recruiting battles does BYU and Utah lose to USU?
Their facilities are crap. They play in a stadium that barely holds more than the Marriott Center and they almost never sell out. they will never be able to hold onto a great coach, because USU is at best a stepping stone job.
they certainly are better than they once were, but "on the rise?" Not really.

Comparing Bronco to Lavell drives me nuts. Lavell built the program, won a NC and had some fantastic seasons.

Again, Lavell had taken the program from nothing to a NC team. He earned the patience. Bronco has not.
