You really don't think CB'ers would not have starting being critical of Lavell
by the mid 90's. If you look at his record from 1991-2000, it is not as great as some might think. Take out 96 and it is down right average by some standards.
Don't get me wrong. I love Lavell. He took the program to heights never seen at BYU. But I think there are some on here, had they had this forum would have become very critical. They may not have called for Lavell's ouster, but would have started suggest very loudly that he should have retired before he actually did in 2000.

Comparing Bronco to Lavell drives me nuts. Lavell built the program, won a NC and had some fantastic seasons.

Again, Lavell had taken the program from nothing to a NC team. He earned the patience. Bronco has not.
