What's alarming the medical community is that we have large numbers of otherwise healthy middle age and younger people contracting this disease and dying or arriving at death's door step and living the rest of their lives with serious medical problems. That just doesn't happen normally. The fact that we don't know a lot about it is an aggravating factor that makes it's hard to develop appropriate treatments and prevention strategies. We need to do what we know works; masks, social distancing, more testing and more contact tracing. And, we need to have patience. I know it's hard, believe me. But, we need to be patient and not give in to conspiracy theories or political attacks.
