the field like Retzlaff. He was a super-accurate thrower who never went beyond his 2nd progression. That would NOT have worked in the Big 12.
Whatever Jake's weaknesses, he sees the field better than any of those guys you list, in fact. Imo, Taysom should NEVER have even been a QB. But that's what it took to get him to BYU, so we accept the history as it went (both the ups & the downs... there being far more downs with Taysom than many of our fans are willing to honestly remember — seeings so many of us were quick to throw other guys under the bus in his poor-performance games (which there were plenty of)).
