It's not controversial and it's not what the OP said - "one John Beck" or
"one Max Hall" (which Max? not the one that wet the bed against Utah and TCU, I assume) or Taysom Hill -
the OP failed to account for the complex factors of QB development and how long it takes for most QBs to get to a place where they are "great" or "elite." Except in rare cases there are years of struggle before guys get to that level.
There isn't one John Beck or one Taysom Hill.

That’s a fair point, but you are looking at all those QBs as seniors or who had multiple seasons as a starter.
