As crazy as it sounds home prices and rates aren't California's primary problem
Like Texas and Florida it's home owners insurance and property taxes (that's a function of price I guess).
I believe the flood of California exits hasn't really even started yet. Too many people that are running out of options to insure the darn thing even if they can afford the mortgage.

Moving to San Diego county soon (north end). Looking at homes for $900 that were $500 6 years ago. 😞

Yeah, not ideal but rates will fall in time and prices on good homes 10 min from the beach will rise.

Because markets won't sustain these rates long term. Optimism for rate cuts is holding things together right now.

If only they’d stop buying expensive iPhones and save a little. My generation got by just fine that way.
