Anybody can change if humble enough, Nick Saban, the GOAT, had to finally accept
that the college game favors the offense. Saban, a known defensive mind, for a long time played great defense and ran a smash-mouth power run offense. He realized the game was changing and realized he had to change too and he did. Whittingham has done the same, Utah, while their offense isn't great, is a lot better than they used to be on that side of the ball.
Herb Brooks had done things a certain way his whole career and then completely changed leading up to the 1980 Olympics.
Kalani CAN change but that's up to Kalani. If he keeps the status quo then he will not be successful and will not see an extension to his current contract.
