That's my take as well. BYU ponied up some cash to get a new DC and OL coach. If
Kalani continues to struggle, I'm sure the AD has a short list of potential candidates and the change we saw with BB happens with FB.
I don't hate Kalani. I don't want him fired, but I do think that he's on notice. If he succeeds biggly, he will be rewarded. If not, his replacement will reap the rewards.
I agree that BYU made the changes because of: 1) P4 $$$, 2) B12 affiliation, 3) leadership change [Reese], 4) NIL and the new rules.... Ultimately, BYU getting more money for sports has changed the game the most (donors and conference cash).
