I think it’s already happening for football and most just don’t recognize it.
Look at our recruiting class in December and tell me how many of those guys would be coming to BYU if NIL wasn’t competitive.
Jay Hill is being paid north of $1M per year as the DC.
The one thing we apparently have yet to do is really open up the NIL purse strings for the right QB, like we did for Demin in basketball. But I’m guessing if we found the right recruit that merited such an offer we’d probably be able to to that now too.
