I mean...you get what you pay for. Just don't act surprised when all your young doctors and engineers weren't born or
educated in America. The education my kids are getting right now is a joke, even compared to my own experience 30 yrs ago. There just no chance these kids come out of high school with the fundamentals to become competent in technical fields unless they had parents carrying the weight of teaching and pushing them.

Subs in my district make between $20-21/hour. That's still a couple of bucks an hour above the fast food joints.

I can't speak for all districts, but my wife teaches in Nebo and the starting pay has definitely gotten better through

30 years in with a Master degree can get you there. Throw in a few stipends for extra responsibilities at your school,
