BYU recruiting success with top LDS recruits
2016 5*: 0-1 4*: 2-5
2015 5*: 0-2 4*: 2-4
2014 5*: 0-1 4*: 1-3

That is a 31% success rate, and I am pretty sure I am forgetting someone.
If BYU has that near 75% those are top 25 recruiting classes.
lack of available LDS talent isn't holding BYU back from top 25 consistency.
I understand tempering expectations by reality, but 31% seems awfully low considering the LDS recruiting advantage that should exist.

I do agree that BYU hurts themselves in regards to the honor code and LDS students, I wish the non-honor issues would be eliminated from the code that has the power to upend your educational career, we are far removed from the 60's hippie culture, the purpose for some of those rules just don't have any relevancy in current society other than "because we said so" and I don't think that sits well with pretty much anyone unless they are willing to submit to it solely as a means for acceptance over someone who sees it for what it is and decides they don't need more hoops to jump through, I see very little value to current students in those aspects of the code.
